Poise and Presents

This week we had the beautiful Sharon Kerr of Poise and Presents join us on our Twitter Q & A session. It was a fast and furious hour. And, lots of fun too! Let’s dive straight in and learn more about Sharon’s business.

What are your most popular arrangements?

Corsages & buttonhole/ boutonnière are my most popular items, also my favourite to create. Each is unique & I love to use a variety of media to create layers and depth. They are hand sewn in place for integrity & prolonged use.

What problems can you solve for your customers?

What problems can you solve for your customers?

One of my favourites is to save people money. If I can create an arrangement that looks great quality & doesn’t cost the earth then I am pleased and so are my customers.

Where do you get your inspiration?

I absorb everything around me and I have a creative mind that is inherited from both paternal and maternal family genes. My mind is overflowing with ideas that I’ve yet to create.

What would be the dream for your business?

I’d love to see my corsage or buttonhole/ boutonniere used on the catwalk now that would be really something. I’d love a studio to work in with lots of display and storage space

Why do you give  your  customers a miniature envelope?

I make these and inside is a penny for luck. It’s my way of saying thank you for placing your trust in me and my business

When a customer shows you a piece & asks you to  reproduce it. What do you do?

When a customer shows you a piece & asks you to reproduce it. What do you do? #PoiseandPresents #IrishWeddingChat

I politely tell the customer I do not copy someone else’s work. I can work with the customer to create something suitable for them that will satisfy their request.

Why work with faux flowers?

Why work with faux flowers? #PoiseandPresents #IrishWeddingChat

The benefits are many. Flowers available in more colours than fresh flowers, they last longer & can be manipulated which makes them easier to work with.
